Right now, children in Yemen are facing the world’s worst humanitarian crisis.
Millions of children are starving, health systems are collapsing, medicine, clean water and food are all in short supply.
Right now half of all children under the age of five in Yemen are malnourished, making them more vulnerable to life-threatening diseases like cholera and diarrhoea.
After six years of conflict, children are still paying the heaviest price – their lives. Since the war began, an average of six children have been killed or maimed every day.
No place in Yemen is safe for children and COVID-19 has exacerbated the already critical emergency.
“This has pushed families who are already exhausted and extremely vulnerable to the brink,” says Philippe Duamelle, UNICEF Representative to Yemen.
But there is hope, because you can be there for children in need by donating to UNICEF today.
