The ID.3 will arrive in Ireland in the summer of 2020, with the first cars to come to these shores being a Special Edition ID.3 1st, which is equipped with the 58kW/h battery capable of 420km range.
These will be followed at the end of 2020 with the rest of the ID.3 range, which includes three battery sizes of 45kW/h, 58kW/h and at the top of the range, 77kW/h. The batteries are capable of 330, 420 or 550 km respectfully. These new models will bring electric driving to a large audience of new buyers, making this a hugely significant launch as Volkswagen helps to democratise the electric vehicle.
