One arrested over Fairview shooting

A man is being held by gardaí over a shooting at the Players Lounge pub in Dublin last year, in which three people were injured.

A MAN HAS been arrested in connection with a shooting at the Players Lounge in Fairview, Dublin, last year.

Three men were injured, one seriously, in the incident on 26 July 2010. Gardaí say a lone man approached a the pub at approximately 12.30am and began firing shots at a group of people.

Gardaí have arrested a man, aged in his 30s, as part of the ongoing investigation into the shooting.

He is being held under under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act at Clontarf Garda Station and can be held for up to seven days.
