ONE PERSON HAS been confirmed dead after a bomb exploded on a bus in central Jerusalem earlier today.

A 60-year-old woman died and 39 more people were injured when the bomb went off just opposite the Jerusalem Conference Centre in the city.

The Jerusalem Post reports that three people were seriously injured by the explosion itself, while a further five were moderately injured by shrapnel packed into the device.
