One man arrested in Dublin drugs seizure

Gardaí have seized 300 cannabis plants from a house in Clondalkin.

A MAN HAS been arrested as a results of a drugs seizure at a house in Clondalkin, Dublin, today.

The man, 32, was arrested and is being detained under the provisions of section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking Act) 1996 as amended at Ballyfermot Garda station.

The arrest was a result of an ongoing operation by the Ballyfermot Drug Unit and the Garda National Drug Unit a house at St Brigids Avenue, Clondalkin was searched on the 24th Feb 2012.

During the course of the search Gardaí discovered 300 cannabis plants with an approximate street value of €120,000, pending analysis.
