One man remains in hospital, younger man released after Ballyfermot shooting

Gardaí tonight are appealing for anyone who may have seen a black Audi A4 saloon acting suspiciously in the area last night.

A 52-YEAR-OLD man who was injured in a shooting in Ballyfermot last night remains in hospital this evening.

The younger man, aged 23, who was also also injured has been released.

The shooting took place last night at Clifden Drive, Ballyfermot at approximately 10.20pm.

Gardaí tonight are appealing for anyone who may have seen a black Audi A4 saloon in Croftwood Crescent, Clifden Drive or Cherry Orchard Drive areas of Ballyfermot acting suspiciously between 9pm and 10.30pm yesterday evening.

The car has a partial reg 08 D.

Anyone with information should contact gardaí in Ballyfermot on 01 6667200, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
