One dead after attack by two men "disguised as women" on NSA headquarters

One person was shot dead after driving an SUV into the agency’s building.

ONE PERSON HAS been shot dead in an incident at the headquarters of the National Security Agency (NSA) in the United States.

The incident occurred this morning when an SUV drove into the gates of the building. One of the two men in the vehicle was shot dead and the other is being treated for injuries.

The agency’s headquarters are located at Fort Meade in Maryland.

NBC News is reporting that the two men were dressed as women and in possession of a gun and a quantity of drugs.

The NSA is leading the investigation into the incident with the FBI also involved.

In a statement issued today, the FBI has stated that they do not believe the incident is related to terrorism and that the shooting scene is contained.

Their Evidence Response Team is currently processing the crime scene and their agents are conducting “joint interviews with witnesses”.
