Open thread: Here are our resolutions for 2015 - what are yours?

We’ve discovered that for some reason about half the newsroom wants to learn Spanish next year – what are your plans?

WE’VE SAID GOODBYE to 2014 and have hurtled into a new year full of opportunities to make changes or to keep doing something that’s really good for you.

While they’re still fresh and before you decide to change your mind, we want to know what your resolutions for 2015 will be?

To get things started, here are some of the things hoping to achieve in the next 12 months:

- Clean my car more. It unexpectedly passed the NCT so I feel it deserves better treatment.

- Take more nights off.

- Figure out what I’d write about if I ever write a book.

- Find a new team sport in Dublin, which kind of takes from part two there but heh.
Just to generally go easier on myself and continue my quest to be a top chef.
- Buy a grown up filing yoke and file my important papers and documents into it, rather than storing them in various ‘important drawers’ around the house.
- Be better at staying in touch with friends abroad.
- Regularly check the air pressure in my tyres rather than just lying to my mother about it.
- Eat less, move more.BRING IT 2015
I’ve been trying to master the art of not interrupting people for many years. A few years ago, I even got my flatmate to make a “beep” noise if I interrupted him and I’d have to immediately stop talking. Suffice it to say, I’ll be trying again in 2015 :(
I aimed to start learning Spanish and piano. I did both. In 2015, I’m going to get good at both.

I generally don’t make resolutions as I never keep them, but I want to try to learn Spanish too. Then [above author] and I can speak it to each other in the office.I’d also like to do something active like a charity cycle.

I can sort of speak Spanish pretty badly so I am going to get back onto that. I can’t remember but I probably tried to quit smoking last year. It didn’t stick
- Try and be more active (self-explanatory)
- Improve my photography/video skills. (Started earlier this year, but like to dedicate more time to it)
- Try and learn Japanese (Cause Spanish is overrated + I want to visit Japan sometime in the future)
- Not act like a grumpy 86-year-old (Also self-explanatory)
I want to do that photography darkroom course I’ve been talking about doing for two years (it got a mention in last year’s new year’s resolutions :( ), and do a 10k. And save money, and travel more. Not sure if the last two count each other out…

Now it’s your turn – resolutions in the comments below…
