Three adults and two minors arrested in burglary crackdown

Property, believed to be stolen, was seized during a number of searches.

FIVE PEOPLE HAVE been arrested today as part of Operation Thor – a crackdown on burglaries and organised criminal activity.

Gardaí arrested four males and one female following a number of planned searches in Portlaoise, Kilkenny and Waterford this morning.

The four arrested males, aged 21, 28, 30 and one juvenile, are currently being detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007 at various garda stations in the southeast.

The female, also a juvenile, is being detained at Kilkenny Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal justice Act, 1984.

An amount of property, believed to be stolen, was seized during the searches.
