Six arrested in organised crime raid in Waterford

Gardaí carried out a major search operation in the early hours of this morning in south Kilkenny and Waterford.

SIX PEOPLE HAVE been arrested as part of an investigation into organised crime in the south-east of the country.

Gardaí from Thomastown Garda Station in Kilkenny carried out a major search operation in the early hours of this morning targeting a number of houses in Waterford and south Kilkenny.

Six men aged from their late 20s to early 40s were arrested as part of the operation and a number of items were seized during the operation.

The men are being held in Thomastown, Waterford and Wexford Garda stations.
