Police looking to trace man's movements after "unexplained" Christmas death

POLICE IN NEWRY are looking to trace the last movements of a young man who was found dead this morning at his home in “unexplained” circumstances.

24-year-old Padraig O’Hanlon was found at his home in Warrenpoint, Co Down, at 3am this morning.

He is understood to have been out yesterday morning and arrived home at about 4pm.

“We are trying to trace his movements between 11am and 4pm yesterday to establish if  anything happened in that period that may have a bearing on his death,” said PSNI Detective Sergeant Emme Wallace.

If you were with Padraig yesterday, or saw him during the relevant period, please call the detectives on 101.

A post-mortem is due to be carried out in order to determine the cause of death. At present the death is being treated as “unexplained”.
