Flight to Paris grounded after threatening tweet received

There has been no comment on how seriously they are taking the threat.

AN AIR FRANCE flight from Amsterdam to Paris has been grounded after a threatening tweet was received.

Authorities have yet to comment on the veracity of the threat, but made the decision in light of last night’s attacks in Paris and the recent attack on a Russian flight in Egypt.

The tweets made reference to that flight, leading to authorities grounding the plane.

The tweet said:

Forget #Russia? Wait for what will happen on flight AF1741 from #Amsterdam to #Paris.. #ParisAttacks.

An earlier tweet sent from the account @Jihadijohn8 said:

Yesterday and today, Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam Airport Schiphol will be attacked by our brothers #isis

Both tweets have since been deleted.

Reuters reports that the flight was grounded for extra security checks, with police saying that security had spent more than an hour conducting searches.

Air France last night said it would continue its regular schedule.
