Man (30s) dies after being struck by a car in Co Clare

Gardaí have appealed for any witnesses to this collision to come forward

A MALE PEDESTRIAN has died has he was struck by a car in Kilkee, Co Clare yesterday evening.

The incident took place at 6.20pm yesterday and the man, aged in his 30s, was fatally injured. No other injuries were reported.

A coroner has been notified and a post-mortem examination will be carried out. The road in Kilkee was closed overnight and a technical collision investigation will be completed later today.

In a statement, gardaí have appealed for any witnesses to this collision to come forward and have ask any motorists who may have camera or dash-cam footage to make it available to Kilrush Garda Station.
