I feel sorry for both families involved. There are a number of people being either killed or seriously injured on our roads while out walking. Are these people wearing correct clothing where you can be seen. I see people out jogging, walking dogs early in the morning or late at night wearing dark clothing. I have a little reflective jacket for my dog when I walk her in the dark. I wear reflective clothing. As the logo is something, Be safe, be seen. Again I feel sorry for both families involved.

I keep freebie reflective vests in my car, I see so many idiots walking at dusk or after dark in dark clothing. I stop and give them the vests with a few expletives usually. Those dopes don’t think of the trauma they might inflict on a driver.

RIP, that’s awful, but the N78 Ballylinhan to Castlecomer road doesn’t go anywhere near Carlow.
