Pedestrian killed in Co Kerry

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to this morning’s fatal collision.

A PEDESTRIAN has died following a collision with a truck in Tralee, Co Kerry, at around 11am today.

The man, aged in his mid-60s, was seriously injured in the incident at the junction of Strand Road and Matt Talbot Road. He was taken to Tralee General Hospital, but was later pronounced dead.

No other injuries have been reported.

The road has been closed pending a technical examination of the scene and diversions are in place.

Gardaí in Tralee are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact them on 066 7102300. They can also be contacted through any garda station or via the Garda Confidential Line: 1800 666 111.
