Pedestrian killed in Wicklow overnight car accident

A man is killed after being struck by a car on the N11 at Coyle’s Cross in Co Wicklow in the early hours.

A MAN HAS BEEN KILLED after he was struck by a car while walking home on the N11 in Co Wicklow last night.

RTÉ reports that the man was struck by a passing car in the Coyne’s Cross area of Wicklow, about six kilometres north of Rathnew, at about 1:40am.

The southbound section of the road remains sealed off and diversions are in place.
