Man (20s) charged after number of suspected petrol bombs seized in north Dublin

The improvised explosive devices were seized during the search of a house on Monday.

A MAN HAS been charged after a number of suspected petrol bombs were seized in north Dublin. 

Gardaí attached to Coolock Garda Station, assisted by the Armed Support Unit, carried out a search of a residential property in Balgriffin, Dublin 13 at around 10.30am on Monday.

During the course of the search, the improvised explosive devices were discovered.

A man in his 20s was subsequently arrested and detained at a garda station in north Dublin. He has since been charged. 

He is expected to appear before Dublin District Court at the Criminal Courts of Justice at 10.30am this morning.

A garda spokesperson said that investigations into the matter are ongoing.
