Man arrested by routine garda patrol after robbery charged

He will appear in court later this morning.

A MAN ARRESTED yesterday moments after he robbed a petrol station at knife-point is due to appear before court this morning.

No one was injured in the incident.

The 31-year-old was arrested by gardaí on a routine patrol in Artane, Dublin 5, who spotted him fleeing the scene after robbing the contents of the shop’s cash register.

Gardaí recovered an amount of cash and a weapon.

The man has since been charged and will appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice later this morning.
