Man armed with hammer robs pharmacy in Rathgar

A MAN ARMED with what is believed to have been a hammer robbed a pharmacy in south Dublin this evening.

Gardaí said that a man entered a premises on Terenure Road East at about 5.15pm this evening.

It is understood that the premises in question was Lloyds Pharmacy in Rathgar.

The man made off with drugs and a sum of money.

No one was injured in the incident and no arrest have been made.

Gardaí say that the matter is still under investigation.
