IF YOU’RE IN Dublin right now it might seem that the overnight snow is having some difficulty in getting a foothold.

It doesn’t seem to be having the same problem around the rest of the country, with the snow pictures sent in by readers showing winter wonderland-type conditions to have taken hold (even though it is technically supposed to be spring).

Here are how things are shaping up down in Cloughjordan in Tipperary.

These were taken at the town’s train station this morning at around 8am.

Down in Offaly things had been covered in a blanket of frost as well. This photo was taken at Durrow Abbey in the north of the county.

There were major traffic delays for many motorists this morning. The M7 saw major delays in the Dublin direction this morning.

Things didn’t look much better in the north of the country.

The Garda were using their Twitter feed to urge drivers Leitrim to take care using the roads this morning.
