The pilots take on the astronauts in the ‘who takes the best selfies’ war.

THE EXTREME SELFIE is quickly becoming a thing.

Be it in outer space, at the top of the Christ the Redeemer statue or next to the Taoiseach, people are getting crazier with their ideas.

This photo, taken by the RNlAF (Royal Netherlands Air Force) F-16 Demo Team this week, is not only taken way up there, it also shows Boeing’s new Dreamliner craft.

Sharing the photos on Facebook, the team said:

Now just before the weekend is over I have a premiere for you. Last week Arkefly received its first 787-8 and this is the first one in the Netherlands. We were lucky enough to welcome them home. Here are some shots for you to enjoy as well.
