MEET YUYA ABE, a Japanese man in Dublin with a serious plan.

He’s four months and 226 pubs into his journey that will see him attempt to have a pint in every single Dublin pub.

Publin spotted that Slattery’s Pub in Beggar’s Bush posted the above photo of Abe enjoying his 225th pint yesterday afternoon:

Japanese worker here touring all the pubs in Dublin. Yuya Abe uses Mac Moloneys Pub Spotters book as his bible. Starts with Dublin 1 and now on Dublin 4. He says he always orders a pint of Guinness.

Abe is four months into his Guinness odyssey, and Slattery’s heard his story and gave him that pint for free – which is a sound considering his commitment to Guinness.

Next up was Smyth’s on Haddington Road

They also revealed Abe’s unique way of keeping track of the pubs he’s been in as he goes:

Each pub he visits, he orders a Pint of Guinness & the barman has to sign his Dublin Pubspotters Guide Book. We were privileged enough to be his 226th. What a pub crawl!

Where to next for Abe? Well, going by his Facebook page, he certainly has developed a taste for the black stuff

DailyEdge.ie has reached out to Abe to get to the bottom of his extreme love for Guinness and how he came up with this ultimate dedication to it.

Fair play, Abe.
