WHITE HOUSE PHOTOGRAPHER Pete Souza captured this image of US President Barack Obama taking a moment on the Rosa Parks bus while they visited the Henry Ford Museum in Michigan on Wednesday.

Parks – an civil rights activist – became a household name in the US after she refused to give up her seat to a white passenger in December 1955. The defiant act was a defining moment in the Civil Rights Movement.
