Police attempt to trace final movements of man (56) found dead in Newry

Rimantis Tamosiunas was found dead at a house on Catherine Street yesterday evening.

POLICE IN NORTHERN Ireland are investigating the discovery of a body at a house in Newry yesterday evening.

An appeal has been issued in an attempt to piece together the man’s final movements.

The deceased, Rimantis Tamosiunas (56), was found at a house on Catherine Street at around 8pm.

The cause of death is not yet clear, and a post mortem is due to be carried out.

Senior investigating officer Detective Inspector Jill Duffie said police are ”keen to trace the movements of the deceased in the hours leading up to his death”.

We would like to hear from anyone who knows him or who may have seen him at any time on Saturday 24 January.
