Poll: Are you concerned about online privacy breaches?

Facebook is the latest in a long line of companies to admit users’ personal data has been compromised. Do you care?

FACEBOOK HAS become the latest company to suffer a privacy breach which allowed users’ data – including profile information, photos and chats – to be accessed by advertisers “for years”.

News of the security flaw comes following Sony’s admission that the personal data of Playstation users had been compromised in one of the largest internet break-ins of all time, forcing it offline. And it follows the revelation that Apple’s iPhone is capable of tracking and storing owners’ every move.

Do these security breaches bother you? Or do you think they’re an inevitable by-product of the online era?

How concerned are you?

Poll Results:

Concerned enough to change my habits (219)
I'm already hyper vigilant about my data (181)
Don't like it but won't change anything (149)
Not concerned at all (60)
