'Parking protected' cycle lanes.

Poll: Does more road space need to be given to cycle lanes?

There’s only so much space out there.

PLANS FOR INCREASED cycle lanes across Irish cities have frequently come with one very specific problem.

More space for cyclists requires either roads to be widened or existing car lanes to be reduced.

Some suggestions have even seen planners proposing ’parking protected’ cycle lanes that place lines of parked cars between motorists and cyclists.

As calls for safer conditions for cyclists becomes louder, do they need more space?

We’re asking, Does more road space need to be given to cycle lanes?

@John003: Currently in Ireland the average life sentence is approximately 18 years, according to the Irish Prison Services. A prisoner serving life is eligible to have their case reviewed after seven years in custody.

Still a joke – life sentence should be life.
