Poll: Do Hollywood awards influence your film choices?

Leo, George or Brad? Meryl or Angelina? It can be hard to choose which movies to watch so do award-winners get first look?

HOLLYWOOD’S ANNUAL AWARDS circuit is in full swing with the Golden Globes taking place in LA tonight.

A-listers will be out in force in what is as much a long advertisement for the nominees as a victory lap for the winners.

Big names such as George Clooney (The Descendents), Leonardo diCaprio (J. Edgar), Meryl Streep (The Iron Lady) and Brad Pitt (Moneyball) all have films in cinemas (or coming shortly) and it can be hard to see everything.

When one must pick and choose does it become more important who has won awards and who hasn’t?

So today we are asking, do Hollywood awards such as the Golden Globes and Oscars influence what films you will go to see?

Poll Results:

No (675)
Yes (302)
Yes when choosing cinema views but not as important for DVD/telly picks (247)
Don't know (26)
