Poll: Do you think the government will deliver on unemployment?

The Taoiseach says unemployment will be at 10 per cent by 2016, but what do you think?

THE TAOISEACH YESTERDAY said that he hoped unemployment will be under 10 per cent by the next election.

The Taoiseach said that positive employment figures released yesterday were the start of a “relentless pursuit” of job creation opportunities.

And, while the government’s own labour market targets hope for an unemployment rate of 11.4 per cent in 2016, Enda Kenny hopes that number will be surpassed by 2016.

With the 58,000 jobs added over the last year and unemployment under 13 per cent for the first time since 2009, the trend is certainly positive.

But, how do you feel about the economic forecast? Are things going to improve?

We’re asking: Do you think the government will deliver on unemployment?

Poll Results:

No (1817)
It will be better, but not that good (1756)
I don't know (637)
Yes (417)
