Poll: Do you agree with companies paying to freeze female workers' eggs?

Is it a proactive idea or bad message?

THE NEWS THAT Facebook and Apple are covering the costs for female employees in the US to freeze their eggs has gained worldwide attention.

It’s been greeted by some who say that the companies are being proactive in helping their employees financially. Others argue that it’s a lazy replacement for a proper maternity policy that sends the message to women that they can’t have a successful career whist childrearing.

But what do you think? Is it right that companies offer this choice? Would the women among you consider availing of such an option?

Today’s poll: Do you agree with companies paying to freeze female workers’ eggs?

Poll Results:

No, it sends the wrong message (2675)
Yes, it offers them a choice (1351)
Only if there are other good maternity options (1119)
I'm not sure (377)
