Poll: How do you feel about Ireland's housing situation?

Property prices were on the up and up in May once again – how do you feel about things as they stand?

YESTERDAY IT EMERGED that property prices in Ireland increased yet again in May.

Currently house prices are 13.8% greater than at this time last year, although May saw a slight decrease in valuations in Dublin with buyers being forced out of the capital and into commuter territory.

While prices remain 40% below their peaks at the height of the bubble, rising rents across the country are likely to see more and more people take the plunge and buying a house, which should mean prices continuing to rise for the foreseeable future.

But are you affected by the current housing situation? Or do you care about the property market?

We’re asking: How do you feel about the Irish housing situation?

Poll Results:

I care a lot - I want to buy a house (4549)
It doesn't affect me but something needs to be done (3676)
It doesn't affect me (1028)
I have no interest in property (397)
