Poll: Is banning photography in playgrounds a good idea?

Or do you think it’s another example of the nanny state gone mad?

CORK COUNTY council is holding public consultations on a proposed new by-law banning members of the public from taking photographs in playgrounds.

Photographers say the move is a hysterical one, and insist that photography creates an important historical record.

What do you think: is the move a clever child protection initiative? Or is it a step too far from the nanny state?

Poll Results:

No- it's hysterical (995)
Yes- it's a good idea (82)
I don't know (27)
