New poll sees popularity boost for Labour and Sinn Fein

The Labour party and Sinn Fein are the only parties to see a rise in popularity, both standing at 11 per cent and 18 per cent.

THE LATEST SUNDAY Times/Behaviour and Attitudes poll shows that the Labour  party has increased in popularity by 4 points, with Sinn Fein up 2 points.

Last week, The Sunday Business Post/RedC poll revealed support for the Labour Party was down 2 per cent to 10 per cent, the lowest level of support the party has enjoyed since October 2008.

Today’s poll says Fianna Fáil is down 3 points to 21 per cent, while Fine Gael is down two points to 25 per cent.

Independents are unchanged at 23 per cent, while the Green Party remain at 3 per cent.

The survey was conducted by telephone with 934 voters.
