Poll: Do you make a special effort to support local shops?

Crowleys Music Centre in Cork closed today after 87 years – it is the latest music store to close down in Ireland.

CROWLEY’S MUSIC CENTRE in Cork is a local music shop that closed its doors for the last time this week.

The owner of the MacCurtain St shop said that, after 87 years, she was closing “despite best efforts and everyone’s goodwill”. It is one of a number of smaller stores that have closed in recent months.

For some people, supporting local stores is a priority, while others take advantage of the fact there may be lower prices online, or like to shop around.

Today we ask: Do you make a special effort to support local shops?
