Poll: Should medicinal cannabis be legalised?

Good idea? Bad idea?

TOM CURRAN HAS described how cannabis helped his partner Marie Fleming to deal with her pain as she dealt with the final stages of multiple sclerosis.

In an interview, Curran described how he bought seeds on the internet and how the cannabis helped Marie with pain relief and spasms far more than conventional medicine.

Cannabis is effectively legal in The Netherlands and also in the US state of Colarado, but its use in Ireland is illegal. Users face criminalisation, a fine, and possible imprisonment.

So we’re asking: Should cannabis be legalised for medicinal use?

Poll Results:

Yes -  all cannabis should be legal (5819)
Yes - only medicinal cannabis should be legal (2742)
No (569)
I'm not sure (192)
