Poll: Should it be mandatory for the national anthem to be taught in school?

A new report is due before the Seanad this afternoon.

A REPORT ON the treatment of the national anthem will be presented to a Seanad committee this afternoon.

One of the main draft proposals in an early version of the report was that Amhrán na bhFiann should be enshrined in legislation.

As a result of the debate on the song, there have been discussions over whether it should be mandatory to teach it in primary school.

So, this morning we want to know: Should it be mandatory for the national anthem to be taught in school?

Poll Results:

Yes (12922)
