Poll: Should ministers’ mobiles be publicly available?

Some ministers have changed their numbers after having them posted online – but should such details be kept private?

A NUMBER of cabinet ministers have changed their mobile phone numbers after a trade union published their contact details, leading to a significant number of abusive phone calls over the cut to the minimum wage passed on Friday.

We want to know: should ministers’ mobile numbers be publicly available anyway? Are our politicians escaping accountability by not having such details in the public domain, or is there a line of privacy that the public shouldn’t be able to cross?

Do you think a minister’s mobile phone number should be public knowledge?
