Poll: Should the new Club Orange TV ads be aired?

Controversy surrounds a new ad featuring bikini-clad women which is due for broadcast this summer…

A NEW AD campaign for Club Orange is still racking up views five days after it was posted on YouTube. The ad, which features models in white bikinis juicing oranges in Club’s ‘Squeezing Rooms’, is due to be broadcast on Irish television later this summer.

However, Susan McKay of the National Women’s Council of Ireland told Newstalk’s Breakfast show today called the ad “tacky” and a “throwback to days we thought we’d left behind”.

A Hunky Dorys poster advertising campaign featuring a model in a tight rugby-style belly top drew anger from the Irish Rugby Football Association last year and was withdrawn after attracting over 300 complaints.
