Poll: Could the Irish Water controversy bring down the government?

The most popular party in Ireland is now Sinn Féin – which is opposed to the charges.

OVER 120,000 PEOPLE took to the streets across Ireland on Saturday to protest against the introduction of water charges.

A recent poll showed that the most popular party in Ireland is Sinn Féin – which is opposed to the charges.

Meanwhile Labour’s popularity has fallen behind Fianna Fáil. Fine Gael is the second most popular party, just ahead of FF.

A number of TDs have admitted there were issues with Irish Water, and some won’t even pay the charge.
