Post office funds case: Man released over missing €1.5million

The man was arrested yesterday in Gorey, Co Wexford.

A MAN ARRESTED yesterday over the alleged misappropriation of around €1.5million from a post office has been released without charge.

The man was taken into custody in Gorey, Co Wexford yesterday after the money was found to be missing by the town’s post office. He was released last night.

An Post notified the Gardaí earlier this year about an alleged misappropriation of funds. Investigations are ongoing, and a file has been sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
