Potential for 100 jobs as Total Defense opens Dublin office

The anti-virus software company says it is impressed with the quality and depth of Ireland’s talent pool.

INTERNET SECURITY COMPANY Total Defense says it will create up to 100 jobs in Dublin as it establishes its European Operations Hub.

To-date, 21 people have been recruited and it is thought that the centre will grow to 100 staff to support the company’s European business.

Total Defense, which has its headquarters in Palo Alto in California, is recruiting in the areas of sales, operations and customer support.

Announcing the jobs this morning, Minister Richard Bruton said the Government continues to target sectors and niches with particularly high prospects for growth.

Total Defense fits that criteria, he said, as it develops and provides anti-virus and anti-crimeware software for both business and consumer markets.

Total Defense is an IDA Ireland client company.
