Weapon found on prisoner who was recaptured after posting to Facebook

He wrote on his Facebook page, “Who else is out today haha”.

A WEAPON AND a number of phones were found on the man who was recaptured while on the run after updating his Facebook page.

Jason Frayne escaped from Ennis Disctrict Court when he left through the back door of the court house.

However, the 22-year-old handed himself back to authorities and has now been returned to Limerick Prison.

During a search on his return a number of phones, a USB stick and a weapon was found on the prisoner.

It’s understood that the weapon in his possession was a knife.

Last Thursday Frayne changed his profile picture on Facebook and wrote, “Who else is out today haha.”

On Friday, he posted another two photos of himself wearing an Adidas tracksuit. One of his friends wrote under the post, “U never fail to surprise me stay off tis pal !!!”

Frayne is reported as having 46 previous convictions.
