PRTB mediation is now free

This week the Private Residential Tenancies Board  (PRTB) has scrapped its fees for mediating in disputes between landlords and tenants. The government agency dealt with a total of 3,910 disputes last year.

One-sixth of overseas property queries are from the US

Bolstered by a strong dollar and the return of Irish emigrants from the US, almost 16% of requests for information about property in Ireland from overseas are now coming from the United States, reports the Irish Independent.
