After 20 years, the derelict site in Bray’s town centre is to be redeveloped

The Florentine Centre, a 2.4 acre site on Bray’s main street, is getting redeveloped. The site has been earmarked for developments since 1996 and was recently bought by Wicklow County Council.

Lynam’s Hotel on O’Connell Street has sold for almost €6 million

The 42-bedroom hotel sold for nearly €2 million more than CBRE Hotels had guided for the property when it was listed, according to the Irish Independent.

  • Grafton Street is the world’s 13th most expensive main street on which to rent retail space, according to the annual Cushman and Wakefield report. The report tracks 462 of the top retail streets around the world.
  • A new report by the Central Statistics Office shows residential property prices rose by 7.3% in the year to September. In the year to August the increase was 6.8% and there was an increase of 4.2% in the year to September 2015, according to RTÉ News.
  • Jordan Auctioneers in Kildare have a 1.5 acre site in Newbridge with planning permission for 21 three and four-bedroom townhouses, according to the Irish Independent.
