There is more demand than supply when it comes to homes. The KBC Homebuyer Sentiment survey released this week shows that there are fewer houses available than buyers. The survey found a strong pipe-line of demand is now emerging as depressed home sales in recent years means many people were stuck in accommodation that didn’t suit their needs.

Water committee told meters should be installed in all new houses

Fresh legal advice to the water committee on their final report on water charges has said that water meters should be installed in all newly-built houses. The senior counsel, who also advised the committee last week on the report, recommended meters be included for new builds and building refurbishments to ensure Ireland complies with the European Union’s Water Framework Directive.
