The latest figures from Daft.ie.

THE AVERAGE ASKING price of a home in Rochestown just outside Cork is now close to €330,000, according to the latest figures from Daft.ie.

Analysis across all properties advertised in the area during the first three months of 2018 puts the average list price at €327,899.

This puts Rochestown in the top tier of neighbourhoods in Cork city and county.

Of the specific areas in the analysis, only properties in Kinsale are more expensive at €368,868.

The average asking price in neighbouring Douglas is €305,644, while in Blackrock across the estuary the equivalent figure is €310,406.

Across all neighbourhoods in Co Cork, the average property price is €238,887.

During the Celtic Tiger, asking prices in Rochestown hit an all-time high of more than €460,000 in 2006. They then dropped to a low point of around €210,000 in 2012 before recovering to their current levels.
