PSNI appeal over armed robbery in Larne

A man made off with a sum of money after threatening staff at a commercial premises with a knife.

DETECTIVES ARE APPEALING for information following an armed robbery in the Gloucester Avenue area of Larne, Co Antrim, which occurred yesterday evening.

At approximately 8.45pm on Sunday, a male armed with a knife entered a commercial premises and demanded money. He made off with a sum of cash.

The male is described as being approximately 5’5″ tall and of slim build. He was wearing a black hooded puffa jacket with the hood up and had tights over his face.

The Criminal Investigation Department in Larne would be keen to speak to anyone who knows anything about this incident or who knows of a silver and white Mitsubishi Shogun that was in the area at the time. Anyone with information is asked to phone 0845 600 8000.
