Legendary Radio Nova broadcaster Bob Gallico dies

LEGENDARY RADIO JOURNALIST Bob Gallico has passed away in the United States.

Gallico was a newsreader on the famous Radio Nova in Dublin in the 1980s and was instantly recognisable from his deep, booming American voice.

He later worked with the ill-fated Century Radio before returning to the States in the 90s.

He died, aged 83, following a long illness in his native Salem in Massachusetts overnight.

The news was confirmed on the Radio Nova Facebook page.
