Rail services delayed as man runs onto tracks to evade gardaí

There was a warrant out for the man’s arrest and he took to the tracks when gardaí were chasing him.

RAIL SERVICES WERE delayed in the Greystones area during rush hour this evening after a wanted man ran onto the tracks to evade gardaí.

There was a warrant out for the man’s arrest and when gardaí gave chase he ran onto the tracks. The incident happened at around 6.30pm and gardaí followed the man and arrested him on the line.

Irish Rail said services resumed shortly after the incident with some delays.
