Man charged with rape of teenage girl in Belfast

The 28-year-old is due in court later.

A MAN IS due in court in Belfast later this morning to face a number of charges in connection with an attack on a teenage girl in the city at the weekend.

The 28-year-old has been charged with rape, sexual assault by penetration and sexual assault and is scheduled to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court later today.

The alleged attack happened in the early hours of Saturday morning in the Antrim Road area of the city.

In line with normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Northern Ireland Public Prosecution Service.
