Two charged with rape following serious sexual assault in Armagh

Four men were arrested during a series of searchers in the Portadown area yesterday.

TWO MEN HAVE been charged over a serious sexual assault, which took place on 25 August, in Northern Ireland.

Detectives from the PSNI carried out a number of searches in the Portadown area of Armagh yesterday and arrested four males.

Two of these men, a 20-year-old and a 24-year-old, will appear before Craigavon Magistrates Court this morning later this morning charged with rape.

The others, a 21-year-old and 33-year-old, remain in custody. Police say they are assisting detectives with their enquiries.
